Solid game

Great gameplay, great aesthetic, great everything. One glitch I noticed: the when the seconds elapsed is between 0 and 10, it doesnt display right. the following code will fix it:

if ((seconds => 0) &&(seconds < 10))
{
secondsTextBox.text = "0" + seconds;
}

Pretty great, but there room for improvement.

This is a quality game with a pretty standard concept. It's quite addicting but it could definitely use some improvement such as some game-play variation. Things besides walls would be cool, maybe some things you're not supposed to touch, or gravity manipulation. Anyway, good job, I voted 5.

A quality game

Overall, this is a quality submission. The art is unique and well done. The game-play is well tested, found no bugs or anything of that nature. The progression is also nice, how there are different zombies. However, the game can be frustrating a times, and it gets boring after a few levels. The game-play is a bit too repetitive after a while, and there is nothing to look forward to. Aside from that, this game is pretty good, and entertaining.

Incredible

I just beat this game, and let me just say, wow. It's remarkable that you were able to rewrite this game from scratch. This is a major achievement. I just beat it, was hoping for a better ending than the original game had, but oh well. Awesome job.

Full of problems...

I was a huge fan of the original Parappa the rapper game. It was actually among the first games I ever owned when I got a PSX for christmas when I was a kid. However, although I love the original, I have a lot of problems with this game.

First off, the synchronization between audio and button presses is downright awful. No matter how in-tune with the music you are, it will not help you hit the buttons at the right time. Also, there is no indicator telling you if you hit the note or not, which removes most if not all of the satisfaction of the original game. In addition to this, regardless of whether you hit the note or not, PaRappa will still say the line. Now, I realize that it would be difficult to isolate the lyrics from the music when it comes to the audio file, however, I still think this takes away enough from the overall experience to be worth mentioning, and it's not entirely impossible to do.

Despite these technical problems, the artwork comes off really nicely and really captures the feel of the original game, great job there.

This could really be something great if you were to just implement a system that lets the player know right away when they succeed and when the fail for each note. This should be shown visually and audibly.

I gave you a 3, good luck on future projects!

Perfection

This game is...absolute perfection. The gameplay is extremely innovative, original, and intoxicating. I feel that the inspiration had to have come from Braid, as the gameplay and narrative themes feel very similar.

On the narrative level, is where this game really shines. Never before has a flash game's story held my attention so vividly. It's so dark and emotionally engaging that one can't help but become completely immersed in this dark tale. Also, the ending gave me chills.

The music is also an essential part of this masterpiece, as it ties it all together and gives it an eerie and ominous feel to it.

However, on the visual level, this game is merely above average, with the exception of various visual effects like the purple smoke that emerges from the play upon phasing out, which look beautiful.

The only even remotely disappointing part about this game is that it runs a little short, however, it still shows a very competent level of challenge and proves to be one of the best interactive experiences that Newgrounds has to offer.

Although this game appears on the top 50 of the flash portal, I still feel it is vastly underrated.

Not bad

A bit simple, gets boring pretty fast, but not a bad game. One suggestion would be to use actual projectiles for shooting instead of making the balls buttons, which appears to be the method you used. Some visual diversity would have made this more enjoyable. Also, the collision detection between the eggs and red balls was a particularly nice touch. Overall, for a simple game, nice job.

I love this game

Awesome game-play, awesome music, awesome everything! I have been playing this for about an hour now, can't beat it for the life of me, but can't think of a single negative thing to say about it. It's extremely challenging, and structurally perfect. I LOVE THIS GAME!

Thanks bauerlej, we intentionally made it a bit harder to finish, but its certianly possible with some experience in betting :)

Not Bad

A worthwhile flash while it lasts. Animation options would've been awesome, but I guess that's a pipedream.

A quality game

The puzzles were very inventive, the graphics were sort of the low point, but the gameplay was fun and challenging. Overall, this game is pretty damn good, and well worth the time to play through it. I gave you a 5. Keep up the good work, man!
